Formed in 1994 by Michael Franti, Spearhead fused Hip Hop with Soul, Jazz, Funk, and Reggae. “People in the middle” was the first track on their debut LP entitled “Home” which was released on Capital Records in 1994.

The video features a live performance of the track “People in the middle” that was recorded at Bullet sound studios in the Netherlands in 1994. Spearhead whet on to record 6 albums including their debut “Home” the most recent being “The sound of sunshine” released in 2010.
